Col de Cenise

A quiet gravel bike friendly col in the Aravis next to the Col de la Colombiere. 2-3 hours, 25km, 1,300m.

This col is up just above 1700m, and makes for a far more pleasant col to ride a bike over than it's more famous neighbour: the Col de la Colombiere. Like the Colombiere, it connects the Val d'Arve to the Val de Borne. Most of the climbing and descending is on tarmac, it's just the top few hundred meters on both sides where you'll want a bit more meat on your tires. To ride over the top between the two valleys is about 25km, with 1300m of climbing. From there you can loop back round via the Gorges du Borne, or back up and over the afforementioned Colombiere.

I rode it as part of a longer ride from Morzine to Lac Annecy, the Komoot file is below.
